Q: Which unit will fit? Satellite radio? GPS? Attached are photos of my 2003 Mercedes SL500 with Bose speakers. 1. Which of the two units that you list as fitting my car do you recommend? 2. Also, you say that a Sirius XM tuner can be plugged into the AUX input. Other aftermarket radios are "SiriusXM Ready", which means that an added remote satellite radio tuner (SXV300V1) can be controlled from the radio's touch screen. Can your radio do that? I do not want to have to use a SiriusXM tuner that has a separate control head. 3. You said that the GPS uses Google Map APP. I understand how that could work and make it work worldwide. However, that means I have to add and pay every month for another device on my mobile phone account or use the mobile WiFi hotspot feature on my mobile phone to use the GPS feature, which also uses data. Is there a way to add a USA database in the radio such that I do not have to use mobile data to use the GPS feature? ByBruce Jul 6, 2017

The radios do not come with an internal satellite radio tuner. This means that in order to listen to satellite radio, you need to either use an external satellite tuner and plug into the AUX cables in the rear of the radio, or use the bluetooth streaming feature from a smartphone using the free Sirius/XM app , or you can also download the free Sirius/XM app on this android unit.
The unit has built-in gps navigation system

Q: 2003 SL55 with BOSE and FIBER OPTIC system also...the unit looks like it will fit perfectly. but, i am confused if you will MAINTAIN the fiber optic system OR simply bypass it.... i would prefer to KEEP it please advise. Byruss May 23, 2016
