I was looking at stopping at the dealer to figure out pricing of a new stereo that had Bluetooth and navigation. I was originally quoted 800 by the dealer to get the Mopar whatever version, so I decided to look around.

First I've never heard of Seicane.com so spending 400+ on their website was risky in my book, but everything turned out fine.

The product arrived promptly. I was expecting a bit longer from wherever they shipped from.

The dash replacement quality:
I would say that the plastics match perfectly for color and texture. The new wallet holder on top doesn't sit correctly, and I can see the edge more than I care for. I also had a hard time aligning the bits and pieces but eventually got it to an acceptable level for someone with OCD.

The parts don't come with the white clips, so I had to remove the old ones and put on the back ends of all the dash parts.

You also have to do a bit of drimeling to get some plastic out of the way for the gauges.

This thing came with no directions, but I was able to hook it up within an hour. the pictures on this site are accurate.

I am honestly impressed with the hardware, and I am writing this review to let others know that this is definitely the radio upgrade to go with..

Here's the little things that annoy me :)

The Android platform is the older version than what they are claiming. That's fine but there are a couple of apps that just don't work on this platform (kodi, Waze). These do work: Audible, Spotify, beyond pod, google nav, and those are the reason I bought it. Pro tip. It's also nice to have the car service record right in the dash. I am using acar I think, and that works too.

I also connected a large USB but syncing my audible, podcasts, and spotify has been a nightmare. I believe the issue is in the android platform and apps themself. Frustrating that apps dont use exteral storage better.

to make this thing the most useful you really need a hot spot or 3g connection.

I bought the TV adaption for the US, and it just did not work correctly. I was able to get it up and running, but the quality that came through was terrible. It also caused a weird issue with the audio where it would just turn off for no reason while driving. I'm not really sure why that is. I eventually just removed it, and everything is back to working great. The TV was to get the weather in the morning from fox news. My boss, total idiot, watches it religiously and having a heads up on the day would be nice. but really, who watches tv anymore anyway so dump purchase on my part.

The player uninstalls Waze and doesn't allow for me to change the bottom row of apps. I don't listen to the radio; I don't want the default navigation app, etc, etc.

Even though installation of the tablet took an hour, I am having one hell of a time trying to program the buttons on my steering wheel or change a couple of other settings like the backup camera kicking on even though I don't have a backup camera. I'm sure there are settings for this, but I can't find them.

I have the upgraded sound system, and I do get sound through my sub. I know one guy mentioned that he wasn't able to so I thought I would address that.

Seriously though those are all small issues and having this as a car stereo is just awesome. I can't wait for my next road trip across the flyover states. I'll knock out an entire season of GOT.

Overall it is pretty good. I had no issues with Bluetooth or any apps. I didn't care for the default launcher, but that is easily replaced. I also ran Malwarebytes and it came back clean, no spyware located.

Quality is very good, unfortunately still running Android 5.0. While Android 7.1 is already out. This big screen could potentially use some good upgrade to latest Android to be able to be utilized at its best !!

Nice Support it Works Great

Easy to install in my Jeep Wrangler.

It's a great unit, much like many of the other Chinese vendors around. This company provides much better service and speaks English. Set up a straightforward, and is easy to customize. The only problem I have is that I thought I would be able to customize the steering wheel controls with the included app but their support confirms that that's not possible.

I found Seicane from a friend who has the 4 year old model and gave great reviews. This model has all of the updated features and to this point has been very DIY friendly (I consider myself a intermediate/novice with Auto DIY's). This unit has surprised me at the level of features and how well they've started up so far.

The Apple CarPlay took about a minute to initially connect, when I connected with the USB cable, and has since started up very quickly, and to my surprise, wirelessly!

I have had a couple of questions through the process, to which the customer service team has been VERY responsive and helpful - answered every question accurately and quickly, with all potential issues resolved successfully!

I am still struggling with this installation. Days, not hours of issues. In my case I would not call this plug and play.

It does look awesome and fitment was good.
Recommend you purchase trim clips.

Premium sound cautions.
No fader. No one seems to have figured out how to get the app signals to code to the CAN BUS.
Have to use device front out to factory rear in the harness. This requires splicing or pin changes.
No subwoofer with the supplied CAN BUS decoder.
Highly suggest the wiring issue is resolved via an intermediary connection from the seller or a specific harness is directly wired from seller.
Highly suggest programing the decoder to support fader on the CAN BUS.

Bluetooth would not function with phone calls until the wiring was changed.

No SD card slot on newer models. Only USB based storage.
USB ports are 2.0 and 1.2.
Highly suggest upgrading the board to 3.0 plus.
Highly suggest adding the SD card port back. Personally I would go SD v Micro SD.
I opted to use one USB to a data port and replaced the 12V out on the front. I do not use the console ports. I chose the USB port that supports tethering etc.. for this. The other will run into the glove box to a storage device or a USB hub etc...

I have yet to get carplay or android auto to function.

Factory settings for mine were not set to Jeep Wrangler.

Steering wheel keys worked with the factory supplied decoder. However, I could not reprogram them as the application to do so did not work. When I switched to another brand of interface, it solved some issues but I lost SWC. Ongoing.

Illumination. worked with the seller's harness and decoder. The other brand interface lights but won't dim. Ongoing.

You will need a GPS antenna adapter to use a OEM antenna.

There is a low hum and hiss as I move my finger across the screen.

FM and AM have static and hum. Tried an aftermarket filter and reception was adversely impacted.

4G dongle did not work in the US. Seicane sent another model. Still does not work.
Frequencies and band usage is different in every country. A standardized GLOBAL modem would be the way to go. But with all my device attempts (Hotspots, modems, phones and cables), none would un-grey tethering. Even though the devices themselves indicated they were tethered and the USB on the head unit indicated the tethered device. Beware.

System updates are not supported on mine. Which includes security updates.
MCU updates appear to be supported by file.

Stock launcher and Chrome constantly fail.

I have yet to be able to load custom animated logos. Stock ico static work fine.

Highly suggest finding a way to allow the unit to stay powered with no key in ignition. Updates to apps are not always fun sitting there watching them. I understand one could possibly wire a non acc constant 12V.

GPS reception is great.

TPMS is available via EVIC via CAN BUS on many vehicles. Finding a way to access that and display it is recommended.

Model is 2013 wrangler with alpine sub.

How can we fix this to make the sub work?

Besides the sub, everything else works perfectly, google maps, spotify, download apps, connecting bluetooth.
