Q: Installation of new head unit for 2006 BMW X5 e53 3.0d My 2006 BMW X5 e53 3.0d has a factory 7 inch display with factory digital TV and a factory CD stacker in the boot. It has no Nav and no DSP. 1. Do I need to run the 6 metre power cable or any other cables to the rear of the car or is it plug and play using the existing cables in the dash? 2. Will my CD stacker in the boot still function with the new head unit? 3. Will my steering wheel controls still function, ie: volume, call receive? 4. Will all of the factory speakers still operate or only the main 4 speakers? 5. Do I still need to purchase the optional digital TV tuner or will the existing tuner function? ByLuke Feb 10, 2016

this unit support the main 4 speakers, if there are more the main 4 speakers , you need to connect other speakers to this unit

If I understand correctly, with your system I would not have to have any kind of crossover or amplifier to make the radio work. Q: Few questions to replace my head unit My BMW X5 has the original Unit with Analog/Digital TV, AM/FM, Tape player and Bluetooth and CD Stacker in the rear of the car (All original) , I want to still use the TV function so is my TV function at the moment built into the original head unit or is it separate? Meaning if I wanted to watch TV with this new head unit, would I need to purchase a separate item to make the TV work or is there something that this new unit can plug into to make the TV function work?
