Q: D2B vs MOST Hello. There were two fiber system for the r230, the d2b fiber system for model years 2004 and earlier. For 2005 to 2012, this was changed to the MOST fiber system (2004.5 and newer manufacture). The MOST system was used with the "Bose" for 2005-2008 and "Harman Kardon" for 2009-2012. The D2b and MOST fiber systems are not compatible with one another. I would like to confirm this box actually works on both systems, and if you have verified this specifically for the D2b 2001-2004 cars. There are other MOST decoder boxes available but they ONLY work on MOST, not D2b. ByDerek Oct 2, 2017
