2. Remove the tachometer and set it aside.

3. Remove the crew pocket panel with a lever, then put it aside.

4. Open the glove box compartment, and remove the panel inside shown as the picture.

5. Pop out the panel beneath the steering wheel with a lever and your hands.

6. Remove the side panel with a lever and your hands.

7. Remove the other side panel shown as the picture with a lever.

8. Remove the panel under the air-conditioning control with a lever.

9. Unscrew all the screws holding the plastic cover with a screwdriver.

10. Remove the panel on the factory radio with your hands.

11. Remove the plastic cover of the whole air conditioning control.

12. Disconnect the connectors at the back of the cover.

13. Unscrew all screws holding the factory radio with a screwdriver.

14. Gently take the factory radio out of the dashboard.

15. Check all the accessories for the new Seicane stereo.

16. Connect the harnesses to the back of the new Seicane stereo.

17. Connect the Seicane stereo to your original car radio’s plugs.

18. Check whether the new Seicane stereo is working without problem.

19. If there is no problem, firm removed screws and bolts that are put aside, then make trim panel back on your new Seicane stereo.

  1. How did you handle the differences in the radio fascia plate? Originally the volume knob is a little bit below the CD drive but then that hole is gone and the knob is now attached. Did you patch the hole and cut it for the groove or did you buy a new fascia plate?

  2. Will this work with a 2008 mini cooper S convertible with the factory chorono instrumentation? Meaning the speed o meter is in front of the driver next to the tachometer, not in the center cluster.

  3. With this being an aftermarket unit will I loose steering wheel controls or do I need an adapter to keep them? I have the Harman Kardon stereo in my 2010 mini will this work with the factory amp and speakers? Also is there an rca output for sub-woofer?

  4. My unit drains my mini’s battery because it DOESN’T go in completely shut down mode.
    I went to factory settings to “other” section and I I set it to off.
    This way it completely shut down.

    But upon restat (it appears BMW logo) it goes to previous situation and I have to repeat the whole process from factory settings, to disable it again.
    Its ok if you wanna park the car for a week or so, but you can’t do that every time you stop the car.

    Any solution ?
